Creating household appliance components differently.

The LIFE WEEELOOP project promotes an innovative WEEE management system based on the circular economy, focused on achieving 90% recovery of materials and components from cooker hobs and their application in other household appliances.

We incorporate advanced technologies for extraction, eco-design and traceability, highlighting the development of the first Digital Passport for recovered components. And we do it hand in hand with key players such as ECOLEC, Circular Replay, Emmaus and Éxxita. With LIFE WEEELOOP at Copreci we promote sustainability, European autonomy and less dependence on non-recycled materials, positioning this project as a replicable model in the EU.

COPRECI is part of the Harmony Project, whose name refers to the initials of “Holistic Approach to enhance the Recyclability of rare-earth permanent Magnets Obtained from aNY waste stream”, which contributes to the EU Circular Economy Action Plan (2020). This European initiative seeks to improve the recyclability of rare-earth magnets from various waste streams, supporting the EU Circular Economy Action Plan.

This project responds to the need to reduce European dependence on China in areas critical for strategic value chains. With the participation of COPRECI, we are strengthening our commitment to sustainability and the circular economy through the development of innovative solutions.
